You have 3 bolts that hold the diff to the frame . I unbolt 2 of those and the thin crossmember(the 3rd diff bolt is attached). Let the whole thing hang. It gives "just enough" room to slide the oilpan out. No need to dis-assemble anything else. This is how I did it.

Let me see if I can clarify. If I remember right (been a little while now) the "pads" for the mounts sit on the frame and are coked at ~ a 45 deg angle. coming off of the engine block is an arm that bolts to this, w/ 2 bolts/nuts holding these two hlaves together. So if you remove these 4 bolts (2 per side)and jack up the motor, it has kind of "feet" sticking out at an angle overhanging the mounts. Slip the blocks in there. Having that angle is critical b/c whe nyou put the wood block i nand drop it down, it wedges it (the wood) in so it can't fall out. I wish I had a pic...

Now I see exactly where you mean ... ... this isn't my rig (just good ol' Google), but it appears that the mounts are as you have described. Should go smoothly now, THANKS! ![[Linked Image]](http://w3.gorge.net/timber/images/MotorMounts.jpg)
