having promblems finding decent oild filter around where i live. OEM is real hard to get so what would be everyone favorite next oil filter to use. thanks
95 SR stock but i hope not for long....

Ive been using wix filters... except for the last time... and they've been great.

From what ive heard "purolater" "pure one"s. I've heard several stories of fram filters collapsing inside.

From what ive heard "purolater" "pure one"s. I've heard several stories of fram filters collapsing inside. Pure One worked very nicely for me on my '92...tried it after several here said they used them.

Purolator Premium Plus are pretty good too. A bit cheaper than the Pure Ones but still a good filter with a lot of filter area. They are available at Sears.

I used Wix as well. Reduced the valve noise. I'd suggest hefting a few different ones - in some cases you can actually feel a weight difference... I equate heavier with better... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cyclops.gif" alt="" />
