my friend went way to deep in some mud and sucked in a bunch of mud and watter. we removed the plugs and turned it over a bunch of times. cleaned it best we could from out side(not very well). and did a oil change. needles to say it now runs like crap and this the week we were going to moab any way. is it a gonner or what can we do to fix it

Probably got water in the Air Flow Meter and screwed it up. AFM does not like water. I had to get a different one.

Dried out the dist cap right? wd40 or crc 6-56 works wonders on those to get the water out also. They don't dry out on thier own very fast at all. Just try and eliminate the little stuff 1st.
