Getting the Wheeling Fever

I currently own 1995 and 1996 Troopers and am looking for something newer/fresher and wonder about the Axioms. The pricing of used ones seems very reasoable but are they off road capable like the Troop? Anyone move from a Trooper to one?

I know pretty much nothing about the Axiom but here's a link from Planet Isuzoo that shows one with some mods and some wheeling pics. Looks capable to me. I have sat in one and drove it around camp site. They are really nice vehicles. http://www.planetisuzoo.com/articles.htm?id=37&Isuzu_Axiom_Lift_&_LSD_install

Somehow i don't think that link will do him much good, as the Axiom in ther is a R/C model
From what i've heard they're pretty good, had the chance to drive around in a 2004 DI 4x4, I must say I liked it a lot and wouldn't mind having one my self (thats If i don't get ahold of a V6 5-speed 4x4 Amigo/RS or a VX first )

Axiom frame and suspension are very much the same as Rodeo's ones. And I must say that stock-to-stock, Rodeo's suspension articulation is not as good as stock Trooper's suspension articulation. You definitely need some upgrades to Axiom to make it as capable as Trooper off-road.
From my point of view, a 2002 Trooper would be a better buy than Axiom, unless you need that exciting 3.5DI engine in 2004 Axiom.

It looked pretty cute I thought
