I have most of the procedure down except for one detail. Question regarding the front brake lines. Will I be disconnecting or unbending the hard lines or soft brake lines. Do I have to extend any brakes lines, soft or hard. Thank you. A pic would really help.

just unwind some of the hard line inside of the fender that way as you lift the hard line will slide thru the hole in the inner fender the soft lines are fine.

Remember to make sure your lines are not rubbing the body after you are done. That would create a rub, and potentially rub through your brake lines.

So I am unwinding the hard line from inside the engine bay, is that right.

Yes, just unbend some on the engine-bay side and feed it through. Once your lift is completed, bend it to accommodate the new angle where it feeds through the hole in the body.

As mentioned, make sure that once you're done none of the line is rubbing on the body where it passes through. There are one or two folks here who overlooked that detail and wound up suddenly without brakes as a line was worn through.

What size lift are you doing?

This happened on mine. I did not suddenly lose brakes, but noticed I kept losing fluid. I found the leak and fixed it. Could have been a lot worse.

Going with a 2" lift. Sorry I know I am a pain in the , but in order to unwind the hard brake line I have to disconect it from the master cylinder, is that right. Just want to be sure. Thank you.

The lines can flex frairly easily with your hands. I was afraid I was going to kink mine while I was doing it but it was fine.
