a friends motor is wiggin out he has it parked in hollister anyone around thier know the 3.0 enough to take a look at it and give advice. proublems started after he got stuck in deeeeeeep mud. he says it seems like air fule mixture is fluxing. it runs but rpms fluctuate and first gear stalls alot. he lives down south and had to leave truck there he wants someone to look at it before he takes to the dealer and they tell him the only fix is all new everything.

That is the way mine ran when I got water in the air cleaner, it screwed up the AFM that is on top of the air cleaner box. Fix, get a different one!!!

Cant help with the motor, but if he cant get it started and needs a tow to the dealer I can help for a little fee. I'm about an hour away.

Sounds like you hydroplaned the motor, any time water is coming in your doors,it's bad news. Get/build a snorkel

That happened to me at Hollister once... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />

Luckily, the motor died before water got into the combustion chamber. I didn't even attempt to crank it over before taking out the spark plugs and turning it over.

Clean out the AFM ASAP or it will corrode.
