Reman's are hit or miss quality wise. If you have the choice let a quality machine shop rebuild your engine.

If you must go reman then it's Jasper or ATK

Motorworks is bad too! But we'll find out when I bring it in to collect on the warranty.

Mine's had low end 'death rattle' since I got it. I haven't had time to bring it back to Connecticut to have the engine replaced yet.

Stay away from orient engine (I think there website is down) I'm suing them for my 2.6. They don't stand behind there stuff at all. ***Edited By DougH***

The first engine I got from them was pumping oil in to the water. They replaced that one for free.

Then the second one started to smoke, and lost power after 5k miles. I sent that one back to them and they said there was dirt inside of it and it chewed up the rings. Had a machine shop look at it and it was full of metal residue from them not washing it during machining.

Don't go with the re man take it to a good machine shop that has good equipment

Edit: found them http://www.orientengine.com/

If you want a good 3.0L, either learn to build it yourself with the help of a good machine shop, or take it to someone who really knows the engine... maybe a dealer tech who will build it as a side job.

The 3.0L is a good engine, but it does have some unforgiving assembly issues on rebuild that re-manufacturers don't seem able (or willing) to overcome. It takes a lot of time and effort to rebuild that engine well.

Stay away from power pro... they over machine the heads and deck, and then have a gorilla with an impact wrench reinstall the headbolts.

I agree with Frank. Get a good machine shop, and a clean work area and do it yourself.

All there employees are Mexicans that don't know there ass from a hole in the ground

Hey now! Let's not get racially derogatory. Moderators might frown upon such a thing.

P.S. In this case, the appropriate spelling would be their. I'm sure most Mexicans know that.
