Anyone recognize what these seats came out of? #718398 04/24/06 03:23 AM

I have just been curious since I bought my truck because they don't match the interior and one of the bolts doesn't line up on each seat so I know they arent stock. they have the racheting head rest like the SR5 seats and the drivers side also has lumbar. However the side bolsters are higher than the SR5s, which make getting in and out hard on them as the driverside is suffering. They are very comfy so I want to keep them I just think it is about time to recover them with something weather resistant since I leave my top off 7 months out of the year.

I don't know older toyota cars that well, but maybe a Celica or Supra?

Or are they even Toyota?

I would second the Prelude. I pulled a seat out of an older Honda Prelude that looked almost identical to that, just a guess though.

Those look nearly identicle to mid-to-late 1980's Mazda 626 seats. I've used them in trucks before. But be aware the backrest is thick, and if you have a standard cab pickup it will restrict how far you can tilt the back cushion and how far you can slide the seat backward.

The following link shows a set of late 80's Honda Prelude seats in my '85 pickup (the blue interior):

Those seats look more like Mazda 626 seats, but I could be wrong.

I agree with the Prelude after seeing those pics of the '85. The only difference I see is the head rest and that is probably just a different year or trim package. It is nice to know that they are practically a bolt in seat.
