For the past several months I've had a rattle from behind the dash whenever the engine was idling. It drove me nuts for a while, zip tying things under the dash, banging on the dash and glovebox, etc... I opened the glovebox at a stoplight yesterday, and having forgotten to attach the strap that keeps it from falling out, it fell out. In the midst of trying to get everything back together, I found the rattle, the fuses. The plastic housings on several of the fuses had vibrated loose from their internals, and the amount of vibration at idle was just enough to set them off into a chatter that would make the pope spew profanities.

The fix, get new fuses, or start wedging toothpicks into the gaps and break the tip off (was done in the parking lot closest to the light I found the rattle at).

My jeep rattles and creak so much that I just put a louder stereo in it...
