Hey I just learned that I'm going to be doing lots of road miles in my 94 extra cab commuting between Salida CO and Tucson, AZ. I currently have 33x12.5 MTRs (and 4.88s) which aren't the greatest on the road.
I happen to have a brand new 33x9.5 bfg at as a spare, so I'm leaning towards buying three new 9.50s and using an old 33x10.50 AT as a spare.
Will anyone try to talk me out of 9.50s and in to 10.50s? Thanks for your advice Steve in Tucson for now

I run both sizes: - http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/BFG_AT_KO.shtmlIn fact now I am running my two old spare 9.50 MTs up front and two met 10.50 MTs in the back, makes a nice combination. I think the 9.50s are only available in the AT tread now, I think the 10.50s work a bit better off-road on 6" rims than the 9.50s do.

I run the 33x9.50 All Terrain and they have been great off road (mainly sand & snow, some rock & mud). They leave more room in the wheel wells for chains and fit the stock wheels real well. However on the highway I think they feel less planted when cornering than my prior 10.50's.

Does anyone have pics of 9.50s and 10.50s on various vehicles?

Thanks for the advice and comments. Since I'm moving back up to 7,000 ft and I'll be doing a lot of road miles, I think I'll end up going for the 9.50s hoping for a bit better gas mileage and traction on snowy roads.
Currently the truck has 33X12.50 mtr's. Had 33x10.50s prior to that. I lost a good 2 mpg (20.5-19 or so)in the switch. I'm hoping to gain those back and a bit more.

i ran off-brand 33x9.5 a/t's for a long time on the road, and they worked out great. excellent in the snow.
