Picked up a used R151 last week. After taking the case apart, verifying that all gears work and some mild cleaning, I reassemble. I swear I verified that I could shift into all 5 gears plus reverse once it was all back together and on the bench. Now that I have in the truck, it will not shift into reverse. All other gears are fine.
Any thoughts before I pull it back out?

Isn't there a specific plug on the driverside of the manual trannies that are a direct relation to the reverse gear? I know it looks like a drain plug however it isn't (this could be on the W56 models) and if taken off thinkin' it was the drain plug now there is no reversey! Just a thought.
