i measured my axles today. they're about 15" from the bottom of the axle to the ground. So... with some 37's they'll probly be around 16"-17". Jack we have at work goes up to 18" or somin. so it'd pretty much maxed out. Not sure it's worth the $40.

I do like that air bag of a jack idea.... it'd be ligth weight too... and easy to pack up. wonder how much they cost? Any idea how much strain they put on the motor? like maybe backing up the exhaust to much?

Wow, I haven't seen an airbag jack since the early 80's. Didn't even know they still made them. Of course it wasn't bright orange back then (gray I think) and this one may be a little different as I was not quite of driving age then...

I do remember it lifting a late 60's Impala at a little over idle.

think i'm gonna need the Hi-lift. I don't wanna have a bottle jack at it's limit to get my tires 1" off the ground. that sounds dangerous. I think I"ll just get a Hi-lift and chain it to the bumper so it doesn't fly out from under it.

Regarding bottle jacks, I built these jacking rings into my slider mount points..

pardon the big pic.... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />

Just another option to have handy... to be able to use this with a bottle jack, similar to the way hilifts are used to pivot a vehicle over out of a deep rut.

Also makes a more secure jacking point for any situation as the tip of the bottle jack can't slip off the frame and go up into the floor or what ever nearby..
