yeah, i found another post that links to that.. so the EGR stays.. now i gotta track down a new pipe and remove the old one..

The other end attaches on the underside of the intake manifold. Pop the hood and look under the intake from the passenger's side. May need a flashlight; but you should be able to see it. If anything, fish around with your hand (with the engine cold, obviously) and you should be able to feel it.
