Thanks to Blevcom for the space and Bansil for basically doing it all, we put my 1st gen troop another 3 inches up in the air this past weekend.

Let me start off by saying this is NOT an easy project.
Tools required (besides the basic handtools):

Drimel tool
Grinder
Welder
Sawzall VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE

The capture nuts in the back of the truck are AWFUL to remove...esp when the break off. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

I am sure the two other guys will chime in with more to say.

All in all it looks incredible and I would certainly do it again in a heartbeat. BUT it was definitely not as easy as some have said it is.

Nothing is ever as easy as it's supposed to be. Even when you've done it before, every vehicle is different, and finds a way to defy you. Glad to hear you guys got it done.

dont forget a blevcom to operate said sawzall
plenty of cut off wheels for dremel
jig saw
bfh and chisel
proper safety equip
a broom and dump truck to haul off all the dirt that falls off the bottom of the truck while you are under it banging on stuff and longer hoses just in case <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I'm looking forward to getting mine all done and on the road.And I know what its like with those captured nuts in the back of the truck.Every oneof them broke off on me , so I had to cut into the body , and they are being replaced by normal nuts this time.As soon as I get the fuel cell mounted up , I do the body lift as I put it back on <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Yours looks good , and theres nothing really wrong with 33x10.5 , they are just a little thinner than the 33x12 <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I must say that was the most difficult B/L I've done.Isuzu didn't expect anyone to take off the body so they were nice enough to put 1/2" drain holes an inch from the capture nuts to help drain moister from the body channels,

We still have some finishing touches to do another weekend,which will include some rust repair and making some small removable covers for the rear capture nut holes.

The first capture nut was the hardest to cut but after I knew the location the rest went good,We will post some pics later with a tape measure to show location to make it easier for other if folk's want.

Looks good Chris. Now you just need to get your bumpers and bars lifted up to match.

I've done a few body lifts and that's why I always recommend a suspension lift before you do a body lift. It's a last resort for me.

Chris, nice looking Trooper and you guys did a great job on the lift. The stance of that is awesome looking in the first two pictures. I like the chrome rims too. Where did you get the roof rack you have on it and do they make the same one for an 86 Trooper? Thanks.
