Howdy all! Welp, as Staceman so proudly put it, Sunday 5/14/06 it hit 105 here in Phoenix. I need to replace my AC compressor and I am a bit hesitant on picking one up off of eBay.
As always, with the wealth of experience and knowledge here I thought I would pose the question - Where's the best place to get a new or remanned A/C compressor for a 22RE?
Any help, thoughts, links or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated! I am getting tired of the Swamp A$$ <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/butwiggle.gif" alt="" /> when driving my Runner!
Thanks! John

They are between $270 & $500 depending if you go reman or new.

I haven't bought any compressors from them before, but I bought other parts that were good. prices seem reasonable, as well.

I figured as much considering you were in VA and they were here in AZ - *OR - You're so damn good at the search engines! LOL - Thanks for the tip - I'll be sure to check it out! It's getting a bit to hot for this ol' boy without air *AND* without the windows being tinted!

I got a compressor of off Ebay. Works fine. It came from a dismantler (junk yard) in Canada. I thought the Canadiens wouldnt use the AC much.

You ought to at least check the price at a Toyota dealer...
The expensive parts like starters, alternators, A/C compressors are available as remanufacturered parts through the dealer and with a Toyota warranty..
I've always found the prices pretty reasonable on Toyota remanufactured parts, much less than a new factory Toyota replacement part.
I've not sure if the same suppliers or reman parts are available through all Toyota dealers in the US since the US is broken up into different distributor regions/dealership..
I'm speaking of a dealer in the SouthEast Toyota distributor region above..
