Why was this moved to the newer 4Runner/Taco/FJCruiser forum? My truck is an '86, which is earlier than 1995.

I am confused. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

The Early Toyota Trucks Forum is geared towards the offroad use, modifications, and maintenance of Toyota 4WD's that are 1995 and older.

Discussions on the Toyota SUV Forum focus on the FJ Cruiser, later-model 4Runners and SUVs.

The second description clearly says "later model" and I don't think the intention was to seperate 4Runners from Trucks but rather early suspension/frame vehicles with 20R to 22R type motors from later model vehicles with 2.7L & 3.4L etc.

Most tech that applies to my '86 applies to '86 pickups as well, but doesn't carry over at all to Tacomas, later model 4runners, or FJ Cruisers.

There are TONS of posts in this "eary truck" forum that are related to up to '95 4Runners.

I agree with Bandit. 1st gen 4runners have been a part of the early Toyota forum since before I was a Yota owner.

Does this mean all of my post about my '88 need to be moved? To bad cause I'm fixin to do a write up about a bikini top I built for mine. Heck I never even visit the other section just cause '95 and newer are so much different than mine.

I bet if your subject was "86 Yota gets Front Tube bumper" then you would not have been "flagged"......and you could still do that <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

ps---Nice work! You still need a pair of upper braces <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

It does't make any sense for it to be in the forum it is in. I would really appreciate it if one of the moderators would move it back to Early Trucks. It does not have any technical value for people with Tacomas, late model 4Runners, or FJ Cruisers.

I don't know any of the folks that visit that other forum and I would like to share this project with people I have talked to in the past here in Early Trucks.

Thanks ZUK! I'm not quite half way done with it yet. Stay tuned for updates. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Roll Me Over
Bandit's thread and the 4Runner forum have nothing in common at all. The 4runner forum is almost 100% dominated by those w/ third gen 4Runners and folks who are not doing SAS's, major mods, etc. it's just a different group of users.

So, I guess the question is: where does the *real* off-road tech belong? SAS info? Tech that benefits both trucks and 4Runners?
