87 4Runner. Stock lift. Looking for a good shock to control body roll on the pavement. Looking at Bilstein Heavy-Duty Series Shocks ($68 @ Summit) and KYB MonoMax Gas Shocks ($50 @ Summit). Is The Billy 5100 the same as the above except for lifted units?

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Good question, I'd like to know too.

I'm considering stockers from 1sttoyotaparts.com as well which are around 25 each. I plan on doing an add a leaf in the rear to level things and eventually ball joint spacers, but not in the near future.

What would be the best shock for daily driver duties and fireroads and the occasional bit of wheeling?

Roll Me Over
If you want to reduce the body roll, shocks aren't the answer. While a super stiff shock will reduce body roll it will also have a negative effect on ride quality. I would replace the front swaybar bushings with some polyurtethane, should cost less than $20. I would then add a swaybar to the rear(if one is already in place then replace those bushings w/polyurethane). The polyurethane bushings will basically double the size of the front swaybar(its effect).

More than tread lightly. Leave it like you were never there, nor anyone else.

I love my bilsteins. Got em up front and Rancho 9k's in the rear. I think I like the bils better.
