Last night while I was out cruising in my ride suddenly I felt the steering wheel kinda lose and moving side to side and up & down. like it was going to come off
Last time it acted like this was no longer that 9 months ago where I took it to a mechanic and he replaced the upper bearing in the column and every thing went back to normal. But yesterday the problem came back again?? could the bearing go bad in less than 1 year???? Or the mechanic did a really bad job??
I neead to know if the bearing is really the problem not somthing else causeing the bearing to go bad in such short time??
I hope it is not a big job because soon I will have to do the stem valve seals and it isvery costy

Or maybe the bearing came out of place due to age and what the mechanic did was place the bearing back in place and re-packed it without replacing it . Do it yourself, it can be that hard, it just require very simple tools. Good luck

Sounds more like the "saftey fuses" that connect the tilt assembly broke.
Mine did on the trail on my old truck. I just tack welded the assembly to its mount. Not as safe but they should still fail if I ever smash into it.

Is it really possible that the bearing just come off it place?????????? Because it happened suddenly not gradually
if so then I will have an unfinished business with my mechanic
and about doing it my self, I think it is a bit complicated to me, cause I am by no means a mechanic althogh a have a bit of expereince.
