Youtube or Streetfire are good places to upload videos, streetfire is better for automotive videos.
Also, nice looking pictures.

Glad you guys like the pictures, there would have been more great pics but they trusted me to taking some of the pictures heh . As far as the videos go you can blame a minor delay on me. I was supposed to stop by Angelo's to get them this morning, but I ended up having to stay at the house and wait for a plumber to fix this leak flooding the kitchen (I actually fell asleep on the couch waiting for him to get done).

So I am sorry for the wait, but I will arrange something with Angelo to pick up the 8mm tape sometime tomorrow or Sunday. As far as the next trip goes I know there are people wanting to prep their vehicles for the next run, such as rock proofing etc. I personally am waiting on mulitple ebay autions/shipping so I can start putting my front end back together from Deer Damage .

I know it is a bit early to be suggesting dates/places but I have come up with some possibilities. First date that comes to mind is Sunday, June 25th. This gives everyone 2 weeks to get everything in order, but it does not infringe on July 4th plans . For those wanting to do some wheeling right before the 4th of July Sunday, July 2 comes to mind. COnsidering (hopefully) people will be having more time off in that area, we could make it maybe even a 2 day trip and include Monday, July 3 .

As far as places go, Tellico, Uwharrie, and that new park in SC come to mind. The GA guys probably can speak up for places down in that area. One thing I do know if people are going to have to do long hours of driving it will encourage 2 day long trips. I know I wouldn't want to have to drive 3-4 hours then wheel then have to drive home 3-4 hours in one day. I personally would be fine heading back up to Uwharrie or maybe if people are feeling the need for breakage Tellico. What ever we choose I can't wait .

The sooner we pick a date and place, the more people can make arrangements to attend. So here's my preference...

Uwharrie because it's closest to me. I know we just went there and my reason is selfish, but isn't everyone? Also, there are trails suitable for everyone from stock to medium to giant.

The July 2nd and 3rd metioned above is the earliest I can justify another trip. Went in early April and early June. It's a wife thing. Hoping the Isuzus get the August Callalantee trip on the calendar soon. Plan to go to that too.

Well there it is. Somebody else chime in with your preferences too. No matter where or when or even if I get to come, would be great to have a lot of people make it to the next one.

Roger

Well Uwharrie is my personal preference also considering Tellico and probably any other location is 2-3 hours out . I have heard there are trails in Tellico for every type of vehicle, but I have also heard the trail ratings up there are way off calling some of the most difficult trails easy . Plus again its far far away.

Sunday July the 2nd at Uwharrie sounds good to me. I am not sure about Angelo and others, hopefully they will chime in. My only worry is breaking stuff , but as long as people like you Roger (and your Suzuki friend) are with that are great spotters/helpers I will be fine .

And if people want to tackle things like Daniel (If the Raider would make it even having to be winched I will try it) I will sit out if I have to. I don't want to be a hinderance to anyone's experience. I will either ride shotgun with someone else if allowed, or try an easy trail.

As far as numbers go I enjoy both small groups and large groups. Both have their advantages, small groups being more personal and quicker through the trails, larger groups being more exciting. What I do know is I will try to get a second digital camera on the trail, and possibly even a second camcorder. Having people taking pictures from 2 angles will help get more action shots.

Speaking of pictures/video, I was supposed to pick up the video tonight from Angelo around 11:30pm. But I came home from dinner aound 8pm and ended up falling asleep waiting . So I am aiming for tomorrow morning to grab the 8mm tape and start getting to work on getting the stuff online.

But hopefully people will start chiming in with dates, so far we know Uwharrie is a good possibility and a good date to set as the earliest is July 2nd. That gives 4 weeks from the first trip for everyone to get re-collected etc. One thing I do know we have to consider is crowds, weather, etc. So here are a list of 3 dates for us to start out with:

Sunday, July 2nd (possibly Monday July 3rd):
Location:Uwharrie Possibly
People Interested: Eli (DRaider90), Roger (Pastor), Angelo
Distance Away: 3wks

Sunday, July 9th
Location Unknown
People Interested: Unknown
Distance Away:4wks

Sunday, July 16th
Location Unknown
People Interested: Unknown
Distance Away:5wks

Can't wait for the video to be up, and for people to start chiming in on the next date!

Hope it all works out for ya Matt. I have 2 topics to cover quickly:

1.)I have the video and after watching it I will say it has some good footage, the video lasts about 30 minutes. Of that 30 minutes I would say 20 minutes is usable. Now for download purposes it looks like it will be split up into 3 parts, "Mud Crossing", "Small Rock Climb", and "Long Rock Climb". If needed I will cut it down even smaller to each vehicle passing through the obstacles (that would turn it into 12 files).

2.) I talked to a guy that has an S10 in GA, and him and some buddies are planning a trip to Tellico for July 1-3. Its something to consider at least. Uwharrie is still more tempting because its closer, maybe we can convince them to head to Uwharrie? Hopefully people will start chiming in with ideas.

Eli, if you want to join the telico group on 7/1-3 we can set up a uwharrie trip on another weekend. I can't afford to go to telico right now. Things break down there. If I were you I'd get some advice from some guys who've been there before I'd take a stock Radier there.

But for now I'm leaving 7/2-3 open for uwharrie. If no one else goes I may be able to get my suzuki friend to come back so there will be at least 3 vehicles. If one is broke down, one can stay on the trail and the other can go for parts or whatever.

When will the video be posted?

Roger
