I'm tired of being afraid of denting my plastics and *****-footing through the bush. I want to get a set of bumpers and rock sliders. Currently I have some nice stainless Manik pieces that should fetch me a little dough to compensate. A full bull/brush bar, nerf bars with step pads, and tail light guards. Not to mention some decent Hella projector beam fogs in the front fascia. My thought is to put this stuff on ebay. Question is, how do I ship them? I've never shipped anything that large, and I figure they're pretty heavy especially if someone wants the whole set. Can I use regular carriers for this, i.e. UPS, Fedex, DHL? Anyone know of a market for 2nd gen bumpers? Any other bumper options besides those seen at Darlington and Indy4x? Custom shops are scarce where I am, or else I'm looking in the wrong places.
Thanks!
Eric

For the Front Bumper, You can go with ARB.I have that one on mine. **DELETED** As for a rear bumper, the only one selling that would be Joe D. From Darlington-Offroad.com. He is currently making my rear bumper right now. There are a couple of people that make rock sliders, Darlington, Indy4x, or Shrockworks.

I have the Shrockworks rock sliders on my rodeo too.

As for all your OLD stuff, I put it on Craigslist for a couple weeks before it sold, But listing them on ebay is practically useless, Shipping is going to cost too much for anyone to want to buy it. It will have to be local pickup for you to make any money on it.

EDIT By Mod: Please refrain from commenting on vendors unless you are relating a first hand experience.

If your brushguard is made up of a few pieces bolted together (like the headlight gaurds bolted to the main frame of the guard) then take them off and ship them seperately from the other pieces. Should save on some of the bulk.

Also, instead of shipping with UPS USPS, or FedEx, look at some of the Freight companies around you that can ship crates and pallets. I know Yellow Shipping company is one that has a terminal right down the road here, and you may have some different ones near you. Alternately, check with your local greyhound station. Often, they will have extra room in their passenger luggage holds that they will sell to people wanting to ship large items.

Oh, and i find it hard to believe that there arent any local 4x4 shops in the Philly area. Check your local yellow pages or somethin....if there is a nice 4x shop in my little town (www.classiccityoffroad.com) there is certainly at least one in your area. If nothing else......make friends with someone with a welder <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
