I looking at spraying my trooper inside and out with Herculiner. How many gallons do you think it will take?
I've got all my carpet removed (that was a gross job) and my paint sucks. I want to just shoot it all with Herculiner and be done with it.

Took me 1/2 +/- gallon to double coat a pup bed along with 1/3 way up the sides. I would say get a gallon and a qt. You should do it all with the gallon then you can return the unopened qt.

I honestly don't know. A friend of mine and I were talking about it, and he said that if I get the liner, he's has what we would need to spray it on. I don't think there is a tool or piece if equipment this guy doesnt have. Do you have any spray recommendations? Should we brush it instead?

What Matt's getting at is Herculiner is sold as a roll-on product. Not sure what would happen if you tried to spray it... maybe it will work. Other similar products like the DupliColor stuff sold at Advance Auto and Walmart are marketed as spray on products...

I just read the insructions and it looks like it might not be a bad idea to spray it. I like the step where it says "apply herc UV protectant" . Might want to pickup some of that because it faded pretty quickly after a few days in the sun.

It's a pretty rough final surface, I think spraying the whole truck might make the truck look like a tennis ball but whatever floats your boat.

To do the inside and outside in full I think 2 gallons would do it. If you wanted to scrimp then I would buy 1 gallon and 4 quarts...then you can either return or store whatever you have left of quarts. I know a buddy of mine and myself split a gallon...I did my rocker panels(2 coats) he did his boulder bars and part of his tailgate(2 coats) and we still had about a half a gallon left.

I just touched it up after 3 years, and did my rear bumper with about half a quart.

I just finished the inside floor of my trooper with the Duplicolor stuff smile. I rolled it on ::shifty eyes::. Not perfect, but it'll help for a few years. Then I'll coat it again.

The Black is Off the shelf Hurculiner with Green smooth Durabak over for the two tone. You can buy this stuff in a pallet of colors and three textures.
