Need a Spot
On Wednesday, my AC stopped working on my 94 Trooper on the way back from lunch. It's been working fine with no loss of cool all season, and never had a problem in the 2.5 years I've had the truck.

I checked the fuse and it was blown so I replaced it the next day. AC worked normally from the Auto parts store to the next stop, about 10 minutes or so, but blew almost immediately when I set out again.

I religiously shut off the AC a minute or so before I stop, and never start the truck with the AC on.

What should I look at next?

Thanks,
Joe

I no A/C expert for sure, but I might start by suspecting the compressor clutch???

Any unusual noises noticed ?

Body Damage is Cool
DO AS JEFF SUGGESTED , CHECK THE COMP , CLUTCH, TAKE A MIRROR AND A FLASHLITE AND CHECK THE CLUTCH DRIVE PLATE AND INSPET FOR A RUSTY DUST COLORED RESIDUE IN AND AROUND THE DRIVE PLATE THIS IS USUALY A GOOD INDICATION THE CLUTCH COIL IS LOOSING ITS HOLDING POWER AND LETTING THE PLATE SLIP A LITTLE AND THEN OVERHEATS AND SHORTS OUT, A COMMON PROB, ON A LOT OF COMP,, JERRY
