Getting the Wheeling Fever
Hello folks,

First time poster, long time reader....

I bought an off hand SmittyBilt bumper recently but it did not come with the hardware to mount it, no pun intended. I have seen Westin Bumper Mounting kits, can they be substituted? I have not seen Smittybilt hardware sold seperately anywhere. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. S@&%ers full, gotta go........

Not sure what style bumper or year/model vehicle this is for, but the front dual tube Smitty I had on my '85 just mounted to the factory bolt holes up front plus the two front body mount bolts.

Sorry, I've been enjoying some Molsons. I have a 91 Ext. Cab, 3.0L.(has the factory sunroof :)) The bumer is for the rear and did not come with anything to attach it to the frame. I need to maybe try and figure out how to post some pics.

try taking just the bumper off and leave the brackets on. put the bumper and mark holes in the bracket (if there wide enough and drill new holes. this worked on my aftermarket bumper with 3inch body lift brackets i made

I think you're right, though I am going to need some better drill bits. Thanks.

It's been over 10 years since I put my smitty on my truck, but as I recall, it bolts right on with 4 bolts in place of the stock bumper brackets, and no need to drill. I don't recall if the factory bolts were used or not.
