My 2002 on 2 occasions would not idle to speed for a few mins cutting off as soon as i let of the gas then was fine tonight though it had no power and the check engine light cam on a reduced power light was on for a few mins i cut it off and recranked the reduced power went out but not the check engine light normal power was back as well it just turned 40k miles <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Oxygen sensor, fuel regulator, have the code read to find out why the check engine light is on.


'94, and '00 Amigos and '00, 01 Rodeos. Rodeo springs and aftermarket 'hard top on 94. Aisin hubs OME 919's on the 2000 Amigo. 2000 and 2001 Rodeos have OME 912's and Aisin. Smoother ride with the OME 919's???

acted up today when in park the idle would go from 0 to 2000 and back over and over put it in gear its fine wierd is all i can say

My wife's 2001 was doing the same thing, revving to around 2000 for no reason. Turns out it was a combination of bad gas and wrong O2 sensor. After July 2000 Isuzu changed the O2 sensors. With an older, 98-2000, sensor in there it goes bananas and does not know what to think.

Is your 2002 still under full powertrain warranty? If so, it seems like your issues would be included. The dealership recently replaced my intake manifold gasket and my fuel pump/sending unit - all covered under warranty.

I assume it is it only has 40k miles im sure its a sensor of which only a code reader will tell good thing the 02 sensor on it is not as expensive as on my pathfinder
