I have changed to a 88 degree t stat from a v6 camry, the truck gets better milage and has way more heat in the winter . it runs at 185 deg on a cool day and no more than 190 on a hot day with the air on in stop and go traffic. Its a 92 3.0L .

I am looking for engine builders opinion and thought the rest of you could benifit from it .

Note: mine is a brand new waranty replacement engine .I think I would keep the 82 degree one if the head gaskets were questionable.
Toyota only lists a 82 degree thermostat for it .
