Ok, I am not sure what rig you got, or year, but the fact that yore asking about control arms I assume you have TJ, with 5 inches of lift your going to need a few things,
1, if you haven't modi your rear drive shaft from a slip yoke to a CV yet your going to need to, anyhting over 3.5 inches will result in drive line vibrations. (those trans drop kits help but Cv and slip yoke eliminator is the way to go)
2. Adj upper and lower will alloww for better pinion angle as well as lengthen the wheel base back to its stock position with out them your going to notice your tires aren't going to be centered under the wheelwells.
3, get an adj pan head bars ( ie track bars for rear and front) if your kit dind't come with them)
I kow this is beyond what you asked for but, I wish some one told me all this when I lifted my jeep, so I didnt have do it all at different times
good luck

Your lift should have come with the right length arms. Once it is installed the tires should look to be about the same spacing as before relative to the fenders, or maybe an inch or to closer to the middle of the jeep. If they look like the will rub the fenders closer to the middle of the jeep you need longer arms.
