Previous Thread Next Thread Print Thread Rate Thread Timing chain tensioner #733370 06/25/06 10:31 PM Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 73 Pensacola, Fl B bodo OP Getting the Wheeling Fever I'm doing a complete rebuild on a 22re, the problem is that when went to put the new tensioner on, the backing plate and oil fitting (the one that looks like a dowel pin) was still in the block. I got the blocking plate off easily but the fitting won't budge. It's not threaded is it? Try putting vise grips on it and try twisting it as you pull out.
