Couple of weeks ago there was a guy that had a posting about a toy pu that was just short of a million. Cant seem to find an update. Anyone got an idea where to look for the thread? Might not have been on 4x4 for that matter.
>>>*I had a 1966 Chevy Nova that I bought with just 900 miles on it. I drove it for years, one day I wanted more power so I put a 300" six in it. That was better but I wanted more power so I put a V-8 in it.
Once we moved out here in 1985 I started stacking up the miles. I remember thinking the old girl would go a million.
But one afternoon I was driving home about 60 mph when I noticed the steering wheel was moving upwards. It took me a second to figure out what was wrong, it seems the seat was going through the floorboards and I was borderline on the edge of getting roadrash on my ...*uhhh...you know.
End of that car, lousy 378,000. My Olds 98 went to 298,000, even though I hopped up the engine. And my Ford Escort had 270,000, it needed more power though. I even looked at it and got some ideas, but then I decided there was no real hope. Then there was the 1974 Honda Civic I let my girl friend (now wife) drive. She decided to challenge a Ford Bronco to bumper tag head on and lost. It had 150,000 on it. The wife's El Camino V-6 went over 250,000 and she sold it for more than she paid for it, I didn't bother adding any power to that one! My old 1979 GMC 4X4 truck is over 312,000, I did put a 390 H/P V-8 in it even though nothing was wrong with the first engine, it just needed more power, too. Now my Camaro has over 200,000 but it is dying. (Dang thing needs more power.)
Dying quickly, too....I no longer actually drive the Camaro, I more or less herd it down the road..
I shoulda bought a Toyota, huh? But I DO have over 1,000,000 miles on.......me...*But I have been rebuilt a coupla times....*LOL**.....*EB
