Story:
I was driving my Dad's Rodeo and it was working just fine. Then just as I was pulling into a parking lot it died and wouldn't restart. We checked the fuel filter and pump. Found the pump was dead and replaced it with the filter.
It still wouldn't start so we checked to see if the injectors were getting power(suspect due to small fire while using starting fluid. ) and they were. So we think it is the injectors themselves.

How would we go about testing them to see if they work or not? Any other ideas?

Thanks

Take them out and take them to an injection shop. The other option is to somehow find an injector tester and note the spray pattern.

Are the injectors spraying fuel? If they have power, they should be spraying fuel, even if it is a really poor pattern.

Nope. No fuel goes through them. We get it clear up to them, but not through.

When we checked them they both had about 12 volts going to them.

DO YOU HAVE 12 VOLTS OR CLOSE TO IT ON BOTH SIDES OF EACH INJ, IF SO YOUR PROBLEM IS IN THE WIRING TO THE ECM OR THE ECM ITSELF ,WITH THE ENG SPINNING OVER YOU SHOULD HAVE 12 VOLTS ON ONE PIN OF THE INJ ONLY , THE OTHER PIN IS INTERMITTENTLY GROUNDED BY THE SPARK CONTROL MODULE , THIS IS WHAT CAUSES THE INJ TO PULSE ON AND OFF , IF YOU ARE SURE YOU HAVE FUEL PRESSURE , TAKE A JUMPER WIRE AND MOMENTARILY GROUND THE BLU OR THE GRN WIRE AT THE INJ CONNECTOR , JUST A CLICK ,CLICK AND SEE IF THE INJ SQUIRTS FUEL IF IT DOES YOU HAVE A WIRING PROB, OR SPARK CONTROL MODULE OR THE ECM , DO NOT TOUCH THE BLK/BLU WIRES TO GROUND THOSE ARE HOT ALL THE TIME THE KEY IS ON , THE INJ ARE GROUNDED BY THE ACTION OF THE ECM AND THE SPARK CONTROL MODULE , IF YOU ARE A LITTLE SCARED ABOUT GROUNDING THE INJ, JUST UNPLUG THE SPARK CONTROL MODULE AND THEN DO THE GROUNDING TEST, NOTHING CAN BE HURT THIS WAY AND YOU CAN TRIGGER THE INJ TO SEE IF IN FACT THEY ARE WORKING , JERRY

Well, I shorted the injectors and all I got where sparks. I made sure that I was grounding the correct side and they were disconnected from the plugs. So I would assume that the injectors are bad then.

if the inj didnot make any type of clicking sound , it sounds like the inj may be shorted , with 12 volts applid to one terminal and the other grounded momentarily , the inj should make a click sound, just aparking , sounds like a defecttive inj JERRY

Alright. That's kind of what I thought. I'll let my dad know.
