Those are some great pictures, looks like those landscapes you buy of mountains in Tibet or something (one is hanging in the front hall of my parents house). That picture from VA is pretty identical to the fall foliage in Maine, 90% forested.

Anyone else got some CO photos?

For some more incredible pictures of Colorado, go to Darren's web site. He has a nicely modified 3rd gen 4Runner too.

Yeah, Darren has the nicest photos of that area that I have ever seen. He shoots with a large format camera though, that is how I justify not being able to take photos like that.

Jeff and Harry, thank you for the fine compliments!

The pictures are pretty cool, Morgan, but that tobacco filter displays quite a bit more than a just "slight" effect. That would be quite the sunset if the colors were real, but the sun is roughly three hours from setting here and the clouds should be gray. The thing that makes them not work very well for me is the warm sky and the neutral foreground. If the sky were that colorful, it would also have a pronounced cast on the ground. You may not have been going for the natural look, though, and as long as you like them, that is all that matters.

I would suggest adding all filter effects in Photoshop except for a polarizer (which is the only effect that can't be duplicated with software) and a graduated neutral density. It would be unfortunate to be stuck with this color on the original if you ever preferred a natural version of the scene down the road.

Awesome shots! I lived in Loveland Co. for a few years. Heres a few of some peaks over 14,000 feet. I have climbed 3 of them. They are just so damb high! I took the last shot from 14320 or so feet on Greys peak and Torreys Peak. You get a sunburn real quick at that altitude.
