Howdy everyone.

I received the rear bumper that 1BADTROOPER made for me. He did a good job. Looks great and everything is level and square. He sprayed a coating on it that turned out nice. Tough and rough. Not slippery when wet.

I wanted to post some pictures for ya'll to see, but the digi-cam went Tango Uniform.

Sorry Chris. Curious, how many of these have you made to date?

On a side note - I replaced my center carier bearing last week. Got the part from NAPA for just shy of $60. Took 1.5 hours to clean, replace and grease everything. Not too bad of a job. I can see, however, that the bearing will probably not last very long. Now, the time involved does not count the "nut incident" or the "18mm wrench incident" ...yeah, I know "18mm wrench". Anyone that has done this job will figure that one out pretty quick.

This will eventually lead to a 1 piece drive shaft which we have discussed (beaten to death) before.

Also, the truck has developed a slight groaning sound during left-hand turns (at speed). This appears to be coming from the rear end. So, I changed the diff oil and with only 20K miles on it, it was looking a little iffy. I also checked for axle play and there was none. .

Hope that ain't an axel bearing goin' out

Chris,
Thanks again for your timeliness and a good job done on my bumper.

Howdy TrooperJ,

I still want to do a little off-road. We did some camping on your side of the mountain this past weekend. Took some good pics. Good good pics of the bumper too, but we are having some software/operator issues .

I understand the green. The camping trip was my first days off in quite a while.

I will be doing much traveling July, August and September. Not sure what I could squeeze in.

Hopefully, I can get the operator issues figured out and post some pics next week. I doubt I'll figure it out by tomorrow. - 1JL

yeah I know right...
So far the hardest part of making these is the square holes for the shackle tabs to go through.....and the 110* heat .

Howdy men,

Just got back from FL.

If anyone is considering one of these, I highly suggest that you get Chris to put the liner on it. You'll thank him the first time you step on it wet!

I'll try to get something done about the pics/software/operator issues today.

Hey, hold my and watch this........1JL

Wow man, your truck looks good. The bumper looks so much better on yours than when it was on mine. I'm not used to seeing them up that high, because I mock them up on my trooper with a 3" bodylift.
