Previous Thread Next Thread Print Thread Rate Thread Wheels, tires, and gears #737291 07/13/06 10:14 PM Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 22 C Cruizin OP Need a Spot Well I got done installing a 5.5" Rubicon Express lift on my 2004 Rubicon, got her aligned and she is looking kind of funny with the 33x11.50 inch tires on there. By the way that was a whole bunch of work getting that lift on there. Did it over the long 4th of July weekend and I don't know if I will every do another one. I want to go to 35" tires and 4.88 gears. I'm thinking of a 15" x 8" wheel. What would you guys do if you were me? What do you think the freeway driving will be like with the 4.88 and the 35" tires. Your RPM at freeway speeds may be higher than you'd like for long distance. I have a TF999 auto tranny, an AMC 360 V8, 4.56 gears, and 35's. I limit my freeway driving to short runs because of the high RPMs. 1977 CJ-7, fiberglass body, AMC 360 w/ headers, DUI ignition, Edelbrock intake and Holley 4150 carb, TF999, Dana 300, 4.56 gears lockers, York air comp, 4" susp lift, 2" body lift, BFG 35" M-T tires, Megashifter, AGR pump & box, REP8000 winch.
