My trucks in the shop right now and im making my reservations for a Uhaul. My manual is at the shop with the truck and i need to know the towing capacity of the truck to book my reservations. So if anyone knows what the limits are, id be very thankful to know.

2-door: 2,000 lbs.

4-door: 4,000 lbs WITH trailer brakes and frame mount hitch

Weight = trailer + load + people + stuff

With my 87 Montero, the flatbed trailer I had was too much. Others here tow pretty large loads, but cautiously.

It pulls my Dad's 22 ft. Sea-Ray without issue, ... if that helps.

Roll Me Over
The V6 Raider is rated class 3 or 3500lbs towing capacity. Good enough for most things - certainly good enough for a U-Haul trailer.

Somewhere there's a picture of one of Lloyd's Monteros towing a trailer loaded with cinderblocks or something and the rear bumper is practically on the ground.
DO NOT tow that much!
