Hey Guys,

I want to convert a mitsu jeep over to left hand drive. I was wondering if anybody knew if the frames were the same, and if I could just swap over aftermarket LHD parts from a domestic source to make this work. I've seen pictures of the Mitsubishi Jeep in LHD form in Irinjia(Indonesian country) and would like to do the same because I hate driving RHD vehicles. Anyone have any resources I'm stymied.

IF***** it is a normal YJ or TJ jeep with just the drive and boxes switch, you should be able to swap stuff out. But, would it be better to sell it and buy a LHD jeep? Even if it costs a 1000-2000 more will it be worth parts and labor?

Supposedly the mitsubuishi jeep is one of those made under license agreements and is based on a CJ3 I think. Check the frame and see if there are holes up front where a right hand steering box could go and then look under the dash and see if they made provisions to allow the steering wheel to be moved over. How about posting a pic and does it have the diesel?

Body Damage is Cool
i would think all you would need is a steering box and everything else should swap over. that should be easy enough to find.

yea but I need a LHD dash, and it was pointed out to me that the dash and firewall are one piece.
