I got onto the Kia USA parts site to find part number for that litle O-ring which goes onto the heater pipe that pushes into the bottom radiator hose engine block fiting. It was about $1.30 US, I'm getting it for 55c AUS. I thought I'd try for the sunvisor clip as it's been busted since we bought the car. $1.85 US, which is pretty reasonable for a piece of plastic no bigger than a lollypop...... $19.00 AUS !!!??? They sure see us coming a mile away. It'd be cheaper for me to get it sent from the other side of the globe! But then again, it didn't appear there were any in stock over there so maybe that's why. Oh well, I just have to wait for one of the 7 Sportages in Canberra to get written off and beat the other 6 to the junkyard <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/drunk.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" />
KIA, More dirt for ya dollar! 99 Sportage, Pod filter, Bosch Super4 plugs, electric thermo fan, racing pedals, Narva 100W driving lights, Yokhama 235/75R15 Super Diggers....getting to the rest bit by bit.

It may be that their pricing is not up to date. My local dealer quoted me some prices that were WAY more than what was listed on the Kia Parts site. I was told by others that prices have come down considerably on parts, but some dealers haven't updated prices on parts that were in their warehouse before the price drop. I'm also told that if you confront the dealer about this, they can work something out with Kia, so they can sell the part at the currently listed price. Otherwise, if the dealer paid more for the part than Kia lists it, the dealer isn't going to take that hit, themselves.
Thanks, Kris

Maybe, Maybe not. I actually took the printout from the kia website to the dealer with me. The prices on the printout where way lower than the prices at the dealership. They wouldn't help me out on the prices at all. They told me that I have to pay what it's listed for or dont buy the parts. After I pushed the issue a little bit the guy was actually pissed that I had the print out and he wanted to know where I got it from. I told him and he still wouldn't help me on the price. I ended up not buying the parts from that particular dealer and went to another near by dealer. I ended up paying what the first dealer wanted and I had to drive out of my way to do it. They told me I was paying for the parts them selves + shipping from Kia California to the local dealership + The local dealership can set the price markup to whatever they want to. I bet if you were able to order directly from Kia in California that would all change in a hurry.

I have actually called around to different dealers and shoped for the best price. I found one that sells to me at wholesale, I just mentioned my company when I called.
