Getting the Wheeling Fever
How hard would it be to swap my 2.3L 4cyl to a 2.8L V6?
Would the transmission bolt up, or would I also have to replace that aswell. I have a spare 2.8 at the house I have kept for a backup for my S-10, but I have never had a use for it so far. Jayson

Totally different creature. You're talking new tranny/transfer case, motor mounts, fuel pump, etc..

It can be done, but it's not going to be a bolt in swap by any means.

I figured there would be more than just a bolt up oh well, <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
I guess I will wait a little while before I start doing any major upgrades. What you recomend personly, for a motor swap, go toward a 2.6L V6. Jayson

Body Damage is Cool
With the price of dead or dying 2.8 V6 Troopers nowadays, you'd be far better off getting one of those and stuffing a 3.1 or 3.4 in it.

There was a real decent-looking Gen I V6 Troop in the Portland Craigslist for $300 this week. Lots more out there at Fire Sale prices.
