If you want to do it correctly and accurately, you
need a torque tester/calibrator.
Be prepared to spend anywhere from $1600-$1800 for one.

Make certain your source is calibrated occasionall as well.

In both the military and civilian jobs, we all push our calibration standards upward to be checked by a higher-level lab.

We are one of the higher-level labs. I've seen a little oops dropped it change one 25-30 lbs. We had a never used out of the box off by 125 lbs. We usually use inch lbs for anything under 15 foot lbs.
