Howdy all,

My brother just gave me a set of 33x12.5 I want to throw on the Trail Trooper. Question is - will these fit on stock wheels? I have a set of alloys (OEMs from the LS with the 6 spokes)

Any help is appreciated!

Jump in anyone, I don't think that they will fit a stock rim. I am thinking that the stock rims are 15x7, and most places will not mount a 12.50 wide tire on anything narrower (is that a word) than an 8" rim.....

You could pick up some 15x8 steel wheels for pretty cheap- liek 45-55 bucks each.

Good luck

Those stock alloys are 15x6. I wouldnt put the 33x12.50 on a 6 inch rim. You can, but I would be really worried about blowing a bead anytime i went offroad.

Find some of those cheap 15x8 steelies. They will be great for that app.

Roll Me Over
its possible to mount the two together, but probably not what you want to do. As J said, an 8" wide rim is where you want to be for a 12.50 tire.

Yeah I wouldn't. I had my 35x12.50 spare tire mounted on one of my stock rims. It worked ok for the spare, but it was crowned in the middle, so they'd were fast.

after new rim, its hard to tell from the pic but when the tire was on the 6" wide rim, it was way thiner than on the 10" rim.

Thanks for all the replies...

If they will mount up I think I may try them. My trail trooper doesn't get out that much so wear is not really an issue. It only goes out on the back 40 for some mud/field beating, and never on pavement.
