Anyone have a pic of a stock tacoma running aftermarket size tize tires?
I am thinking of running 275/70x16's on my 02' Tacoma. Just wondering how it looks (If the tire looks abnormally big for the truck) Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Nick

I would have to say function over form. The largest you can run is about a 31 x 10.5, past that you risk rubbing unless you have a skinny tire.

What do you think about the 15x8 Rock Crawler Black steel wheels... (the wagon wheel type) plus BFG 31 10.50's? The price difference between the 265/70x16 and the 31's is $55 almost the price of the wheels...
would this combo rub? any other cheapo combo ideas would be great! thanks for the info
Aloha Nick

Lift the truck 2.5 inches and put 32.11.50 tires on. You can lift it many ways. ToyTec has some good lifts for less. If you want to spend more for better lifts get some coilovers. I have a ToyTec lift and I like it. i run 32.11 50 BFG AT.

Aloha Nick 15" wheels on a stock 16" wheel truck may not clear the calipers. I think theres some 15" wheels that will clear but dont know which ones. Try a search, I know its been brought up in the past.

I will probably be getting some of these wheels sometime when money allows and they are pretty cheap. Gauranteed to clear the caliper and such. Check these out.

I will probably be getting some of these wheels sometime when money allows... We kind of think alike. I've always loved the look of a Toy with black steel wheels. I've been thinking about getting a set myself!

Yeah, I like how the black steelies look. Not much for the shiny bling or anything but some decent straight up black will do. Not that I am form over function but I think they help make a truck look mean.

Is there any noticeable performance difference when switching from aluminum stock wheels to a heavy steel wheel? Just wondering if the handling may be affected.
Thanks! Nick

I'm running 285/70r16 I rub a little at full stuff I had to trim the plastic a little and fixed my pinch weld.I only put spacers on the front to level it out. I would add a pic. but can't seem to do that.
