My girlfriend was less enthused than I was, so I figured you guys would appreciate this. I finished the shifters on my Dana 300 tonight. I used a pair from a Spicer 18. I drilled out the holes to 5/8 and used a 5/8 bolt as the pivot pin. I drilled the bolt lengthwise and cross drill it in two places for grease, then I added channels for the grease to ride in and tapped the end for a zerk. I seperated the shifters with a bronze washer and added a castle nut to the end with a cotter pin so the nut wouldn't fall off. I used a die grinder with a cut off wheel to notch the rails, but in retrospect, it would have been easier to notch the rails in a mill when I tore the case down. I only ground a little at a time, then used a wet rag to cool the rails so as not to melt the seals. I put it all together and here are the pics. Enjoy!

Thanx BJ, but I really can't claim the design credit. I saw it in a magazine a while back and it looked like the cleanest twin stick setup I could find for the 300. I've never been a big fan of the Currie setup and this was a much better (in my opinion) option.

Actually, it's just a piece I'm getting ready to install. Some unfortunate circumstances have stymied my cash flow, but when things get flowing how they should, I'll be getting to work. Honestly, I'm getting bored with the waiting, I'm definitely in the mood for some serious fab work.

Very nice work. I just hope you're going to rethink that lime green paint before the install <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" />

Nah, the Jeep is green now, maybe not quite so bright. I wanted something a little, unexpected, underneath the Jeep. Can you think of a color that would go with that green for the transmission? I want something equally as shocking...

I think a nice reddish PURPLE goes well with that lime green. I would consider testing a few PURPLE's against it.

I was thinkin purple! I know a painter that I could get to mix up a nice metallic purple, I think I'll have to try a few shades to see what will look good. Then maybe something even weirder for the engine...
