Help with Howell TBI Conversion

Getting the Wheeling Fever

So far, the conversion is going pretty good for someone with little experience with this.
Anyway my question is this: The instructions state to remove the Upstream & Downstream check valves. But it doesn't state what to do with the pipes once they are removed.
These valves are connected to exhaust pipes and I'm not sure what I'm suppose to do with these once there removed. I believe on pipe goes to the catalytic converter and the other pipe goes to the exhaust manifold. There is also a small diameter red hose that looks like it runs to the converter.

Just plug them. They sell high temp epoxy that will withstand the temp and pressure. Or you could crimp them off and weld them...

Another post with no vehicle information.....
Hardware stores sell pipe plugs that you can put in the exhaust manifold.

If you are in a emissions testing area, following Howells instructions will get you failed on your next test.
These systems don't like AIR blowing on the o2 sensor, so they have to go away... however in Colorado.. we can have the rig recertified for the later model TBI system that legaly allows for the AIR system to be completly removed.
You must have the VSS, P/N switch, brake switch operational and no codes coming up for anything to get the recert.
