I noticed that petroworks. com has a transfer case that changes the gear ratios as I would use with large tires (like 31"). I am used to changing the diff gears to acheive this. I assume that the torque on the drive train components will be harder using the t case gear set. Is it safe to do this? I am used to carrying spare axles, but would i also now need a spare drive train, etc?

I carry a left and right front axle shaft in my spares box. If you carried an extra part for every upgrade, you wouldn't have room for the cooler (grin). I have both upgraded tcase gears and diff gears. Just do the math and figure which comes closer to what you need. I would not go overboard with one without doing the other.

Diff gears for now I say (and an ARB air locker). Anyways I had to rework the clutch and transmission. I should be done tomorrow.
Does anyone else rock left to right a good six inches at highway speed?

Only when the wind gusts - or I'm getting passed by a Semi. It also happens when one runs shackles that are too long...
