Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
When you rebuild your 22re motors where do you use threadlocker or antisieze? I always told to put threadlocker on headbolts but the toyota, chilton, and haynes manuals don't mention it.

put it on anybolts that you do not want to move.

No threadlocker required on any of the engine fastners if their torqued properly. I used anti-seize on all of the bolts that thread directly into aluminum such as the oil pump bolts that thread into the timing cover. Dont forget the sealant on the top oil pump bolt so it doesnt leak oil. I also used the included anti-seize stuff on the headbolts that came with my engnbldr kit.
