I seem to be having problems getting the correct 02 sensor for my 2000 Tacoma. The two I already bought have a different end connector so neither one was a direct plug in. I had to cut the new connector off and solder my old one on. I'm thinking my truck might be california emmisions, how can I find this out for sure? I live in New England so I didn't think of it at first.

I would think if you took the VIN to the dealer, they should be able to pull up the factory vehicle specs.

Also check the FSM's here for your emissions configs.

Thanks, I'll give them a call. This thing is really starting to cost me some money in fuel. Even with the universal sensor in there, the truck bucks badly and I get about five m.p.g. I have a twenty-seven mile commute one way and this can;t be good for my cat either.
