Previous Thread Next Thread Print Thread Rate Thread trouble code 42 #743909 08/11/06 06:28 AM Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 29 L lostone OP Getting the Wheeling Fever howdy, I keep getting code 42(faulty speed sensor)I thought maybe the wiring got burned so I rewired it and nothing changed The light only comes on at 2-3K rpms. Can I run with it faulty untill I get it fixed or should I not drive it? If it matters my speedometer does not work and its on a 88 4runner sr5. USA 4Crawler Web Wheeler The VSS is likely on the back of the speedometer, assuming it is a manual tranny.
