KOA night wheeling .... with permission hehe <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
I'd like to reiterate this.
The KOA campsite that's in Buena Vista is run by some really cool people.
Very 4x4-friendly, as well as just plain clean and well-organized. The owners are awesome.
After the first day of wheeling, I had gone into town to get some food and ice for the following day - so I was a little behind the group. So we pull into the campground, doing our 7 1/2 MPH speed limit like the signs say, and I look over to see Corbin, Dan, and Aaron wheeling the living snot out of the gully in the middle of the campground - right out in front of the office. Turns out, there's a gully that runs straight through the parking lot (basically) where they've stacked rocks and dumped sand. And those guys are crawling on 'em.
The owner had specifically asked us if we wanted to screw around on their landscaping. There was a large crowd there - some guy was on his phone talking to his friend saying things like "You wouldn't believe these guys!". The owner and staff were just hanging out, talking with guests, laughing. Kids were running around (at a distance) just going ga-ga over the Tonka toys. And when we left the following day for Chinaman's Gulch?
The owner came back over to us and said "You all gonna come entertain us again tonight when you get back?"
Needless to say: if we have CoZu9 in Buena Vista next year, we know where we're staying.
