Getting the Wheeling Fever
90 Trooper 4x4 not running, 5 speed. Engine is currently out of it and I have a 4.3L Olds Diesel sitting in its place. The Diesel is being sold seperately. The body is in great shape, with a new paint job. The engine that comes with it, 2.8L, have a blown head gasket or two.(milky oil, runs poorly).
I am asking $350 OBO and it is located in Roy Washington, near Tacoma.

Color me stupid but I don't understand what happened here.
A few months ago Solomon was enthusiasticly swapping the engine and now someone else has it listed as parts?

Body Damage is Cool
I think the flywheel problem got to him. If this is the same guy I've exchanges E-Mails with lately.
Seems he either couln't find one for the starter or getting one redrilled was going to be a problem.

Solomon, if you read this I'd like to see if we can work out my buying the 4.3L Olds motor. I may even be able to get it here on a friends truck. Sent you a PM!

I think I can get the flywheel problem resolved in my shop. My lathe will spin 17 inches and I can index drill the new bolt pattern. I THINK I CAN ANYWAY! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> (would like to try)

I have another project in the wings that is gonna blow everyones minds.

I'd love to see someone continue this project. I'd send him an email and see what's what.

If you do manage to get hold of it, keep us informed as to the progress.

As an aside, I seem to recall that these engines were not that hard to find using one of those junkyard search engine sites. Probably not much of a market for them.
