For all you guys that have JBA headers, did you use your OEM metal header gaskets? Seems like the paper ones are junk

I have them on my Tundra and used new Toyota OE gaskets and some new special nuts and bolts. I can't recall what kind of nuts and bolts I used, but I have over 30K on my headers without a leak.

thats what I was thinking. The odd thing is that the header flanges are not flat. They have elevations right at the openings.

I USED THE ONES SUPPLIED WITH THE KIT AND HAD NO LEAKS AT THE FLANGE. I HAVE HAD TO TIGHTEN THE FASTNERS AT THE COLLECTORS TWICE. YOU WILL LOVE THOSE HEADERS THE BEST ADDITION I HAVE PUT ON MY T.
