flex fan will be a constant drain of power and gas. most guys here go electric or stock. if you do go stock spend the full 100 bux and get an oem part.

Flex-a-lite makes one model for the Toyota trucks, #165 as I recall. That would be the one to get as it bolts right up in place of the fan shroud. Anything else and you'll have to fool with mounting it somehow. I ran one for a few years then reverted back to the stock fan clutch. Much more reliable and long lasting. I found the original one was getting a little too stiff so got a new one from Toyota and it is a lot looser and has lasted for probably 4 years so far. The one I got from Napa lasted me about a year before it blew up.

I went with a electric fan so I can turn it off when in the deep stuff. The only problems Ive had with running the stock fan was water/mud would hit the distributor and cause missfires. Also my k&n filter sitting on top of my Weber was getting totally coated with mud. Now I switch it off as I go in a bog...flip it back on when (if) I get out.

I too use the black magic fan. I found the 160 (I think is the part NO) off of ebay and made the mounts for it. I used some of the angle aluminum looking metal with the holes that you find at any hardware store and a another flat piece with the holes. Had to cut and extend some of the holes a bit but it works great. I too can turn off the fan with a switch. Plus some Go Fast Orange paint really helps with the H.P. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />
