I used about 3 pints out of the gallon I purchaced . inside and out . I think I went through a gallon when I did my frame back in 96 - two coats. But... There are better products out there. I've spent about $300 on POR-15 over the years and never once been happy.
Brian K. Gallus I have nothing important to say.

Hmm. Any suggestions as to what they might be? I've used three different products and so far, POR-15 is the best - though I have admittedly been let down occasionally. Please share.

I've heard good things about some products from Eastwood. But I think the truth of the matter is that this is an attempt at a shortcut to eliminate rust - And the best solution is to not take the short cut. Just my opinion.

ive used the estwood rust encapsulater, por 15 rip off, and after having the frame sand blasted i brushed on the coating thinned a little with thinner and now it has seaped in so well that whenever i need to grind some paint off the frame it actually clogs the wheel a bit. i used multiple coats though. excellent product.

I just got done painting the frame with a product called chassis saver which is very similar to POR-15. It took me about a half a gallon for 2 coats. My frame is an '85 short bed/reg cab. We'll see if this stuff works or not. Oh yeah, do not shake the can once you've opened it.
